Each of our clients is unique and requires different levels of service. The amount of time it will take to handle your business will be based on the depth of service you request - from accounts payable and receivable to billing, payroll, bank statements, and tax preparation. Your customer base, billing and payroll periods, and number of employees are also factors.
We can calculate your monthly billing two different ways - hourly or flat-fee. What many clients do is for the first three months,an hourly rate is charged, and then after that point, a monthly maintenance fee is charged to facilitate budgeting by the client.
To provide additional time to review and become familiar with your unique business, a startup fee is sometimes charged when you hire us. Prices assume utilization of QuickBooks. Should your company utilize a paper accounting system, part of our services to you will be to transition your company into QuickBooks. This transition is handled on an hourly fee basis. The most accurate way for us to calculate a monthly service fee is to meet with you and discuss the specific needs and requirements of your business. The information about your business that will be used to calculate a fee will be as follows:
Current accounting status
Status of files and data
Number and type of employees (salary, hourly,
full-time, part-time, contract or temporary)
Frequency of payroll
Detail of job costing required (if at all)
Total number of clients
Number of clients billed per month
Frequency of billing
Involvement with third-party billing
Dollar volume of receivables
Amount and frequency of sales
Number of checks written in a month
Current level of compliance with federal, state and tax entities
Extent of tax reporting required
Estimated time to complete the job monthly
We also offer customized services for new businesses, including file creation, training and then periodic reviews for those companies that want to do it themselves. These services are billed at an hourly rate.
