Are you paying yourself? 

Such a simple question, right? Then why does it make us feel guilty? 

Obviously the person asking doesn’t know how much money needs to be invested into a boutique, right? Obviously they don’t know that you just CAN’T pay yourself till you’re super successful, right? 

Wrong. We get it. Getting started is hard. Getting started is expensive. You shouldn’t expect to be swimming in cash immediately. We aren’t saying that at all! 

But you do need to pay yourself. Yes, be smart with your finances. Yes, scale slowly. But reward yourself with your profit in the meantime. It’ll build your self esteem and it’s good business practice, too!
