Four Key Metrics to Be Aware of When Growing as a Salon Owner
Are you experiencing some slow months as a salon owner? This is solvable. There are four key metrics you’ll want to measure in order to grow.
The number of new clients booking appointments monthly?
The number out of the new clients who are rebooking appointments?
How many returning clients are booking appointments each month?
How many out of the returning clients rebooking another appointment each month?
Next, go back to 2023 and pull your best month's numbers and your worst month's numbers and specifically those four metrics. You'll notice a direct correlation and a big increase on either one of those sides of the metrics on your best month.
If you're slow and you're going to pull those metrics, you'll see what you need to change.
What do you need in place?
1. A way to get new clients' attention. This can be through paid advertising and organic marketing. Remember, you want to be getting attention on your business as much as possible and connecting with them in a profitable way.
2. An avenue to connect with these potential new clients. You need to talk to them and build trust so they'll actually book with you. Be consistent with your communication on social media, creating high quality content, and who you want to be for your clients.
3. You need to retain them. You just need to ask more people to rebook. Everyone that walks in your door should receive a text after their appointment asking how their experience was. You want to grow the connection and communication.
